Roaring Samurai warriors mounted on giant millipeds charge into savage elf raiders on the desert boarder of a vast empire ruled by the Dragon Emperor. The Dragon Emperor sits at the center of a vast Mandala formed of a competing bureaucracy. Civilization is confined to a handful of massive cities set amid a deadly temperate rainforest that covers most the land.
Tesseracts chaotically spring from space in any location, disgorging befuddle intelligence races and groups of savage monsters. The Lands is hemmed in by the Ghost Lands and the mysterious Fey Lords beyond.
Sitting in the middle of it all is the Eternal City with its Eternal Roadway said to have always been.
